When working with Aperture on a laptop, you can easily work with your images if they are stored on an external drive. Then, when you get back to your main desktop computer, you can transfer the project that you were working on in Aperture on your laptop to your desktop and have Aperture manage where the RAW files are stored. I show you how to do this in this tipcast.
